She Built the Door Herself: Arshi Khan and the Agency Born from a Pause
After a pandemic-era job loss and professional rejections, Arshi Khan founded Rewired Mavericks with a conviction that marketing must do more than capture attention—it must connect brand communication to business growth.

When a Pause Became a Turning Point
Entrepreneurship had always been an ambition for Arshi Khan. What she had not yet settled on was the industry or the form that ambition would take. In 2020, the pandemic brought an unexpected turning point: she lost her job and encountered rejections, with her experience in B2B events often becoming a barrier to new opportunities.
Her earlier professional roles had also prompted questions about the kind of management, work culture and environment she wanted to build. Instead of treating the setback as a reason to wait, Khan began considering what it would take to create something of her own. “Instead of waiting for opportunities, I chose to build one,” she says.
A scholarship to MICA helped deepen her understanding of marketing and broaden her perspective. In 2022, she was recognised as Best B2B Marketing & Event Consultant. The following year, she founded Rewired Mavericks, bringing together experience across brand strategy, traditional media, performance marketing, events and integrated communication.
The decision was not simply to start an agency. It was to build one around a different way of approaching marketing.
The Gap Between Attention and Growth
Khan believes many businesses do not necessarily lack marketing budgets or communication channels. Their challenge is connecting those activities to a coherent strategy—and, ultimately, to business outcomes.
Campaigns can win attention for a few seconds without giving customers a compelling reason to remember a brand, trust it or take the next step. For Khan, effective marketing begins earlier: with a clear understanding of the ideal customer, the market, the customer journey and the factors that influence a buying decision. It then requires differentiated messaging and consistency across channels.
Her background in traditional media reinforced the importance of carrying a brand’s core promise through every interaction, rather than allowing individual campaigns to tell disconnected stories.
That thinking informs Rewired Mavericks’ philosophy: “Strategy First. Integrated Communication. Sustainable Growth.” The premise is straightforward: brands do not always need more communication. They need greater clarity about what they want to say, whom they need to reach and how communication supports their wider objectives.
Building Beyond Industry Labels
For a young agency, credibility can be difficult to establish—particularly when prospective clients judge its capabilities through the sectors it has previously served. Khan encountered that challenge herself. Her response has been to emphasise the strategic principles that can transfer between industries: understanding a category, identifying customer needs and building communication around a business goal.
Rewired Mavericks’ portfolio spans energy, wellness, superfoods, events and B2B services. In a public relations campaign for renewable-energy company InSolare Energy, the agency reports securing more than 80 media placements. Its strategic PR collaboration for Parishi Capital and TDFM Inffrastructure reports more than 200 placements across the two brands, helping build their media presence and discoverability.
In wellness, the agency worked on a CHRO roundtable for Manah Wellness around the question of whether mental wellbeing is becoming a differentiator in talent retention. The event brought together more than 15 CHROs and senior HR leaders, creating a setting for discussion and professional engagement. The project reflects another strand of the agency’s work: using experiences and conversations to build relationships, rather than treating events as standalone occasions.
Its performance-marketing portfolio includes campaigns for Manahverse focused on lead generation and website traffic, alongside Google Search and social-media campaigns for superfoods brand Nei Native aimed at awareness and sales. The creative work extends to brand identities, packaging, social-media content, event promotions and marketing collateral.
The projects differ in format and sector, but the underlying question remains consistent: what does the audience need to understand or do, and which combination of strategy and communication is most likely to help achieve that?
From Agency Execution to Strategic Leadership
Khan also works as a Fractional CMO and Brand Strategist through The Marketing Anchor, offering businesses access to senior marketing guidance without requiring a full-time appointment. The work includes helping organizations bring structure to their priorities, align marketing activity with business goals and assess performance more deliberately.
Through workshops and learning initiatives, The Marketing Anchor also addresses areas such as brand strategy, performance marketing and the use of AI in marketing. Together, the agency and advisory work reflect Khan’s interest in moving beyond individual campaigns towards a more connected marketing function—one in which positioning, communication and execution reinforce one another.
A Wider Ambition
Rewired Mavericks’ growth reflects an ambition that extends beyond public relations. Across its first three years, the agency has worked across brand strategy, creative development, performance marketing, public relations and digital visibility—bringing together disciplines that are often managed separately.
Its reported performance benchmarks span up to one million in reach, engagement rates above 20%, click-through rates above 30%, a 40% increase in traffic and 85% SEO and AI visibility. Its PR campaigns have also delivered 273+ media placements and a potential reach of 89.3 million, reflecting the agency’s work across both brand awareness and business growth.
The next phase builds on that integrated approach. Rewired Mavericks has taken on an SEO and AI-visibility mandate for Advanced Expertise Technology Pvt. Ltd., extending its work into how businesses are found across search engines and emerging AI-driven discovery channels. Corporate Vision has also listed the company as a 2026 Corporate Excellence Awards winner in the category Best Integrated Digital Marketing & Brand Management Agency 2026 – Maharashtra.
Looking five years ahead, Khan wants to develop Rewired Mavericks into a strategy-led marketing and brand ecosystem, expand its presence in India and explore opportunities in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Another ambition is to create an original performing-arts event property that can support artists while giving brands more meaningful ways to connect with culture and audiences.
For her, growth is not measured only by revenue or geography. It also means influencing the brands the agency works with, nurturing talent and communities, and building intellectual property of its own.
